The American Catholic Thought and Culture Endowment is held at Michigan State University in the College of Arts and Letters. The endowment was established to support an undergraduate scholarship and an annual lectureship on American Catholic Thought and Culture. Research papers entered into the scholarship competition must analyze a significant aspect of American Catholic Thought and Culture, past or present, from a disciplinary or interdisciplinary perspective. The endowment also provides funding for an annual lecture by an invited speaker. Again, if donors seek to take the state tax credit as well as the federal deduction, they should make their checks payable to Michigan State University and in the lower left hand corner designate “American Catholic Thought and Culture Endowment” as the specific recipient. Checks should be mailed to the College of Arts and Letters Development Office, 101 Linton Hall, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48823, Attention: Ms. Dagni Vanduine. One may also chooses to write their check to St. John Student Center and in the lower left hand corner designate “American Catholic Thought and Culture Endowment” as the specific recipient, and place their check in the offertory basket. This will allow for the federal tax deduction, but not the state tax credit.
